raising an 10 yr old granddaughter with special needs who has been emotionally, mentally and quite possibly sexually abused
I was dxd 7/05 after feeling poorly for months with an A1C of 8 and FBG of 197. Although relieved at last to have a valid reason for why I was feeling so bad the words "You are diabetic" still stings!! I was prescribed glucophage and told to test 6 times a day although I think I probably tested at least 8 times a day in the beginning trying to get to know my body. It's been a long hard fight but I'm near where I want to be, Ive lost 58 lbs, A1c is at 5.5, hoping for a 5.
59 yr old grandparent raising a 9 yr old granddaughter with adhd. Would love to hear any advice and real experiences from parents here.
Hubs and I are raising our granddaughter who was born with FASD and at 3 dxd with Adhd. We need to learn more about this condition so we can help her as much as possible.
