      Hi all! I'm a 33 year old married student. No kids, but we have two amazing (and spoiled) dogs! I have been fighting anxiety disorder for nearly 10 years and I originally came here for support in that fight. I've been doing pretty well with that struggle, (for a year!), so I stay here to lend support to those who need it. (Plus I've made a grand group of friends!!)

    • Close Panic Attacks

      I've been fighting anxiety and panic attacks for 10 years now... but it feels like 100 sometime! I came here in Dec 2006, during a hard patch. I am doing quite well now though.

      Treatments

      Celexa Working / Worked
      My new doctor just switched me back to Celexa, from Lexapro. (The other new guy, whom I started seeing in December, switched me to the Lexapro.) Lexapro upset my tummy.
      Meditation Working / Worked

      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      One of the best things I do to make me feel better. I hate repetitive gym workouts, so I do watersports.
      Crying Not Working
      Seems to make me self-escalate. But I guess sometimes it helps.
      Reading Working / Worked
      Helps to distract me and stop me from self escalating, if I catch it in the early stages.
    • Close Anxiety

      I've been struggling with anxiety for about 10 years. I am fighting it, and looking for some support to do that. I KNOW I can control this fear, because I have done it in the past. I am working on lots of positive self-talk, to remind myself that I AM IN CONTROL -- not my fear!!!

    • Open Sarcoidosis

      I'm here because I am interested in meeting others with sarcoidosis. Never met anyone else with it.

      I'm an Army wife, currently living in Texas.

    • Open Diets & Weight Maintenance

      I have anxiety disorder. Until I developed this problem, I was slender! At 23, I suddenly gained 100 lbs, because I became nearly homebound from the anxiety. Now I am up to 360 lbs. I need to lose this weight and get my life back!!!!

      Treatments

      Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
      I avoid caffeine because of anxiety, but not because of weight issues.
      Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
      i try to always eat healthy foods. It portion control that I have a problem with!
      Eat Less Working / Worked
      Works great when I manage to stick to it.
      Weight Watchers Somewhat Helpful
      I'd rather eat healthy food thatn to count their points. It's too complicated to figure out the points on homemade food... and I like to cook!
    • Open Obesity

      I didn't become overweight at all, until I was 23. I developed anxiety disorder and almost became a shut-in because of that problem. Then I gained weight. Now I weigh 360. I MUST LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!!

      Treatments

      Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
      Eating healthier helps, but my portion control sucks.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      Worked wonderfully well, but I haven't stuck to it in over two years.
    • Open Food Addiction

      I am working on losing 200 lbs, in all. I'm here for support, and to lend my support to others. :)

    • Open Sex / Pornography Addiction

      My husband is struggling with sex and porn addiction. I'm trying to help him, because he is trying to change. He's cheated on me too. This is my last time. If we can't do something this time, I am leaving.

    • Open Fitness Goals
      Type: Maintain a workout schedule

      I am morbidly obese and looking to lose weight through dieatary changes and exercise.
