About Me
I'm a 58 year old female . I've gone dancing all my life, and felt healthy all along, even though I have dealt with general anxiety for most of my adult life. And just recently I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, of which my mother died from 11 years ago. Other than that, I still feel healthy, and just keep living my life until whenever.....

Yes we do. I look at everthing so differently now. I'm trying to document my life for my son. I'm trying to just make sure he doesn't forget little things we used to do or say. I guess it just helps me cope. Please keep in touch and feel free to contact me anytime you need anything!

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis but you've come to the right place for support and advice. Reach out! As for the travel part, I know my sis, who has PF, was told the altitude you reach when flying is one reason for restricting travel. Also the altitude of your destination has a bearing...she can't come visit me in Montana. :-(

Close Pulmonary Fibrosis
im 57 and was diagnosed with PF 2 weeks ago, and my mother died of it 10 years ago. my dr said i had to wait to see a specialist and then ask him if i could travel to thailand (which was my goal). does anyone know why i have to wait to ask the specialist (which i don't even have an appt. set up with him yet) if i could travel?
Close Anxiety
I'm 57 and have dealt with general anxiety disorder for most of my adult life. I've tried everything - and I still have it, but I've learned to deal with it - reading up on anxiety, therapy, pills - which I've done on and off. I just wish I could be free from the anxiety, and the pills I take to deal with it.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- I used to take this. It worked ok. No side effects.
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- It works for the short time - but when I'm too anxiety ridden, I forget to do the breathing.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- I try it - and sometimes it works - but when really stressed it's hard to think positively.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I am presently taking this. It works with no side effects
