Welcome Rob to DS. I am sorry to hear of your families diagnosis. Mito is horrible. I know some have mild symptoms. I did for years. At age 44 everything fell apart. I am living a nightmare with the medical profession not believing anything is wrong with me. One Dr. diagnosed MELAS and then withdrew from my case. I have been lost without a treating physician since.
