hugs glad you are ok...figure some things had to do with mother....I just had 9 months w/o cigarette...having lots of stomach trouble....the surgery took away acid reflux and severe heart burn and now has caused other issues..issues so bad I cant even leave my house ...what a way to live...ugh...well when you make it back to facebook I will be there....hugs

I am a recovering alcoholic and have been sober now for 1 1/2 years. It took me 25 years of drinking through what I call a living Hell on earth before I hit my bottom and made a decision to call it quits! I was simply sick of being sick and did not want to die a drunk! I originally had 8 years of sobriety before having a major relapse! I managed to get back into the rooms of AA 9 months later and hope I never relapse again!
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- Working
- AA Meetings Working / Worked
- In a group, have a sponsor and am getting active!
- Detox Working / Worked
- Spent 30 days in rehab at Homewood Health Centre and felt good when I came out!
- Outpatient Treatment Program Working / Worked
- Four Counties Addiction Services Team. Worked well and encouraged me to seek AA program.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am an alcoholic and suppressed my depression with booze for the last 25 years. I am now sober and have to look for another way to deal with my depressed state!

- Gave me headaches and sweating, drowsiness!

Open Retinal Detachment
Woke up one morning and had no vision in my right eye. Emergency hospital sent me immediately to an eye specialist. Doctor examined eye and said I had a tear in the retina. Advised blood had entered behind my eyeball and reason I had no vision. Advised would drain automatically within several days. One week later, still no vision. I was examined again and was referred to eye specialist in Toronto. They did a thorough examination and discovered I in fact had a detached retina.
