I HAVE LOST 1 MORE POUND IN THE LAST WEEK.BUT I HAVE JUST HAD BACK SURGREY SO I PROPABLY WON'T REPORT ON MY GOAL FOR AWHILE.

Thats funny - I was just thinking about my dad's family - the Irish blood in me. They are all gone now butI feel blessed to have their wit and humor in me. No we never stop missing them. I regret my dad never knowing his grandchildren but beleive he watches them from anove. Faith - where would we be without it....

Close Chronic Pain
I have lower back pain from a herniated disc .I also have several protruding disc.I have had the eperdemil shots but they did not help after first one.I see a spine specilist on jan 23.I have had my mri which showed the problems I stated above.
Treatments
- Heat Working / Worked
- A nice heating pad does help some to lessen the pain a little.
- Lyrica Not Working
- I took this for awhile and it really helped me.But then I noticed I was so stiff I could hardly walk or move.I talked to my DR. and she made me stop taking it.She said it was a side effect of lyrica.I did stop and after a couple days the stiffness left.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- When I take this drug it helps my pain a lot.
Close Shingles
I am 57 year old fm who has had shingles at least 3 times a year for the past 15 years.My dr put me on a maintance dose of 400 mg of acyclovir.When I have an out break I take 2,400 mgs a day for 5 days.It does help a lot bu t still very painful.

- worked great till I had a bad side affect then dr took me off it.
Open Bereavement
In april 2006 we lost two sons 4 days apart.they each had just had their birtday.john was 36 and died of a heart attack.4 days later right after john's funeral jerry age 34 was killed in a car accident from suffering a heart attack also.it was very had to comprhend and grief was over whelming but i have a very strong faith in god that has helped me a lot.we have 1 son left robert he will be 34 in may.jerry had a 15 yr old son cody which is with us.he is such a blessing to us .
