Hi my name is Lara Marie and I'm a 21 year old newlywed (May 25th) My husband and I just found out we were pregnant with our first. I have Autonomic Dysfunction which causes a basket full of other auto-immune diseases: Severe Interstitial Cystitis IBS Fibromyalgia Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Endometreosis Sacral Nerve Damage Vulvodynia Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Sydrome (POTS) (due to Adrenal Gland Malfunction caused by the POTS): Anxiety Disorder ADHD OCD (under control)

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I have extremely severe IC. I am legally disabled because of it and my Dr. tells me I'm the worst case he's ever seen and the medical students at the hospital are studying my case. They say that it's a unique case. I've been sick for over 3 years now. I have vestibulitis, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Sacral Nerve Damage, retention, back pain, 24/7 urethral and bladder burning, headaches, nausea, spasms, ect.. I've tried pretty much everything... I'm an encyclopedia of IC treatments...
Treatments
- Atarax Not Working
- Helps you sleep and that's about it
- Ativan Working / Worked
- Helps with the spasms and muscle tension
- Baking Soda Somewhat Helpful
- it seemed to be somewhat helpful but I had to drink like a liter of baking soda water to feel any difference. It taste pretty terrible as well.
- Bladder Instillation Not Working
- It put me in overwhelming pain for two weeks... My bladder didn't respond well to it at all
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- Flomax Not Working
- Made me extremely tired and groggy and didnt help my retention to much
- Ambien Not Working
- I had Hallucinations as a side-effect
- Atarax Not Working
- Helps you sleep and that's about it
- Elmiron Not Working
- I took Elmiron for over 2 years and looking back at when I started taking it it doesn't seem like it helped much so I finally gave up on it
- Lunesta Working / Worked
- Helps me sleep
- Macrobid Not Working
- Antibiotics don't help IC... but I thought everyone knew that
- Pyridium Not Working
- the dye in the pill causes me to flare worse
Close Endometriosis
Treatments
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Not Working
- I had more breakthrough bleeding then I would have had periods taking a normal birth control pill
- Ortho Evra Not Working
- I spend a lot of time in a hot bath do to Muscle Dysfunction and the patches would fall off
- Progesterone Too Soon to Tell
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Lap helped lower back pain for a year or so
Open Fibromyalgia
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
- I take on in the morning and one in the evening and can see a bit of difference if I don't take it
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Had an allergic reaction.... made me psycho lady for a few days
- Elavil Working / Worked
- The side effects are extremely bad.... very weak .... don't feel like myself... but without it I do notice a difference in pain
- Lyrica Not Working
- the Lyrica didn't work and I had tremendous weight gain
Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Colace Not Working
- High Fiber Diet Not Working
- Miralax Not Working
- Peppermint Not Working
- Spasmonal Not Working
- Zelnorm Working / Worked
- too bad its not on the market anymore! @#$%
Open Medical Mysteries
Chronic Syncopial Episodes I pass out between 1-50 times a day only for 30 seconds to a few minutes on average but can last up to 25 minutes I pass out on the average day 5 times They have no idea why.... It's been going on for over a year now
