About Me
Married, mother of two wonderful children. My seven year old daughter was diagnosed August 24,2007 with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma of the head/neck. Currently in treatment at St.Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis Tn. Married to a police officer whom I met through my job as an ER nurse. Love to read, ride my motorcycle and most of all, spend time with my children. We have avery strong faith and understand this part of God's plan.

Close Rhabdomyosarcoma
I discovered a large mass behind my seven year old daughter's left ear on my birthday. Soon after, it started growing rapidly.She was diagnosed with stage III Alvelolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. In treatment in memphis Tn at St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.She is in week 20 of 43 weeks (clinical study). She has completed radiation, and her tumor is shrinking, but still inoperable.
Treatments
- Dactinomycin Working / Worked
- This is the hardest round od treatment. She has a lot of vomiting, and bottems her counts.
- Topotecan Working / Worked
- Causes SEVERE abdominal pain, and LOTS of diarrhea.
- Vincristine Working / Worked
- Initially caused severe jaw and bone pain, but now-doesn't seem to slow her down one bit!!
- Cyclophosphamide Working / Worked
- The combo knwon as VAC id hard, and she had this first. Caused all her hair to fall out about 12 days after treatment, but is shrinking her tumor.
