Wow it has been awhile since I have wrote to everyone.....guess because it seems like my life is non-stop now....although I did take a break today and got some cleaning and laundry done.  Yesterday was spent at the Fire House helping the women serve an election dinner....and we are proud to say....That we ran out of everything!!!  And was done by about 2 in the afternoon....shame they didn't fix more for supper.

Halloween was a BLAST!  That morning I went down to the Fire House to help the women cook up a Fall Festival Dinner then I scattered back home to change into my outfit....a Black Cat...which came out to be pretty scary and I wasn't planning on that....so hence my avatar picture!  Mom, dad, Blaine, Tammy, Brittney, and Alex all came down to sit on the porch and pass out candy to all the kiddies!!  This is the first time in 20 years that we have all gotten together to do this...and what a thrill it was for me.  Mom dressed as a witch, and Alex was Wonder Women.  We had decorations up and scary music playing.....and we had way over 200 kiddies!  all dress in a verity of outfit that were so so cute!  Jerry had to stay at the fire house to help out down there with the kiddies and do whatever the women needed done.  Hated bailing on them....but hey....it was my turn to play!  grins!

SO I imagine you all have been wondering how the house is going....well it is coming along.  I have been doing all the wiring and then we team up to insulate and dry wall.  The kitchen is wired and the drywall is on....but the ceiling is still open...so that will probably be the next thing....although we have started on the dining room walls...and Jerry decided to go out and buy the wood bead board for the bottoms!  It has been nice to get down and dirty again and work on a house....funny isn't it...a chick that loves to rebuild houses!  Just a passion I guess!  So most of the work time comes on the weekends unless there is something that I can do during the day....like wiring and small jobs.  Right now I am just laying the wire out and running it to the main box but will get hooked up later....because we are still trying to use the power we have now.  It was a house with 60 amp service and we want to upgrade to 200 amp.

The other piece of news I have is that my youngest nephew moved in with me about 3 days ago.  He is a great kid but just needs an outside person to help him get started in the right way.  So I am now a mentor and soon to be college helper!  giggles....is that a word....grins.  That is right he has decided to go back to college for graphic design but was worried about math classes .....so I told him no sweat...we will do it together!  He is also working on getting a job...and the women is suppose to call him in a few days to hire him....fingers crossed.  Meanwhile he is having to work off a fine that he got.....in my little new town!  great huh!  But all is going well and they are letting him work it off paying him min. wage.  Yeah....granted he has got some hours to put in....but has been doing great about getting up and going to work.  I also believe that he has quite drinking as well....by the way....he is a very young 20 years old.  So we have been talking and he wishes very much to change his life and get some schooling to get a good job.  We have bonded very well and I am more like a friend....and also I am neutral in his life.  I believe that has made a real difference in his life.  I guess one thing ...........it will show me if I would have made a good mom or not.

Everything else has been going great and my health is still at a all time high!  wow...it is really hard to believe the change.....and it is nice not to be sick all the time!  So know that I miss you all and hope to make it back....for it should be slowing down with winter approaching!  Be well my Fart muffins....and hope that you are wearing that cute lil smile that I love so well!!!

Deeitsme!

Hello my darlings.....wow these days just seem to be flying by.  Do have some sad news.....Tigger was found....the dogs next door got him......and yes I cried.  Uncle Bob burried him for me and told mom to tell me.  He was feared that I would not do well with seeing him.  He was a great cat.....and will always be in my heart.  Just doesn't seem fair......

Update on the house is.....we got the floor joices in and the kitchen floor down.  Started tearing into the ceilings and exposing the beams.  Jerry looked them after he started tearing the ceiling down.  He is so funny......he ran to the fire house and grabbed his gear and a rip pole....these are used for ripping down ceilings during a fire.  Really cool toy!  but heavy after awhile.  But it was a whole lot easier doing that way then climing on ladders and eating the plaster!  We bagged up the old blow in insulation as we went.....if not it is a freaking nightmare!  The floor looks great and it is LEVEL!  yeah!  working with a 150 year old house is not easy.....you have to go with the flow!  At least we finished that part in just a weekend!  Now we can start to plan the wiring and set some boxes.

Monday I went down and decorated the porch for Halloween and it turned out really cute.  Made a big spider web using fishing line, and tinsel, and some lights!  Looks really cute.....I also have a 11' spider to get stuffed if this blasted rain would ever go away!  I did get my 6' bat stuffed and hung.....struggled with that dude but he finally made it!  giggles!  if the blasted winds don't tear my stuff down....all will be well.

Trick or Treat will be the 30th and so is the Firemans Chili Supper....so you can see this day will be busy busy busy!  I think we are going to start cooking the night before then reheat that day.....plus I will help serve but I also want to spend some time down at the house passing out candy.  Mom and I are so looking forward to seeing all the kiddies and their outfits!  OOO it will be nice!  Plus we are both dressing up.....I think I have settled on dressing up like a cat.....I have been starring at this VCR tape...the musical....CATS....and I love their outfits and makeup.  So I stopped yesterday and picked up some makeup and hair coloring.  Now I just have to work on an outfit.....but I think I have that figured out....I am going to take a sweat suit and turn it inside out so the fleece is facing out....and tack on some felt and make a tail....then do my hair and face.....might add some fur....but not sure...then I will get a black pair of gloves and cut the fingers off.

I do have some good news....I have a new addition to the family......Little Man....a black kitten.  I got him from the Human Society so he has been fixed and shots...and test for the feline lukemia ? so that was a wonderful thing.  Sarge...I think is happy to have another buddy but we have to go through that jelous stage!  giggles!  So as soon as I can....I will post a picture.  He is really a cool kitty and this one will be a total house cat....for my heart can take no more.  He has such a great personality and is not scared of anything!  HEHE....so nice to have the pitter patter of little feet again!

Well darlings.....I know the weather is not pretty......and it is getting colder but we must keep our chins up!  Wishing everyone warm toes!

Me....the Dee

Hello Darlings......do hope that you are all well and staying dry for those of you battling these rains.  Just wanted to give everyone and update.  Blaine, Dad, Tammy, Mom and I got the concrete poured.  Jerry never made it back in time from the fire meeting to help.  Course we wanted to start about 7 pm.....but Blaine and Dad wanted to start before that....so we went ahead and started.  Wow....did them boys work me!  I matched shovel for shovel but in a matter of just a few hours we were done.  Now I just need to find time to run the skid back to Lowes....the boy never charged me for it....bless his heart!

Other then that....these last few days have been quiet.  Jerry is in his busy season because all the farmers are starting to harvest....and with the weather cooling down that means people want their heating oil tanks full.  I know last night he didn't get in till 8 pm and got off 3 full truck loads.....which is a lot of fuel!  And it looks like today will be the same for him.  OO I remember them days.....and must say I don't miss them anymore.

Janie did call me last night with some bad news.  One of our farmers from up there was killed in an accident while he was hauling grain.  Still haven't got the full details yet...but wow was that a shock!  He was such a nice man too and not that old.  I feel for his sons and wife....and do pray for them.  The last I heard he went off the road and somehow got trapped under the truck....course these old grain trucks don't have seat belts.....so anywho....that was just terrible!

Yesterday I went and got my flu shot and just have to wait for the H1M1 to come in and then I will get that one too.  Then went to the Free Store to see if I could find some winter clothes and did find quiet a few things.  Love having that place close by!  and who doesn't like free clothes!  Other then that the day was quiet and I just caught up on some housework and laundry.  Not sure what I will get into today...so we will just have to wait and see.  Looks like we have some heavy rains moving in sometime later.  Maybe I will get into some baking....or unpacking some more things!  Geesh I am so sick of unpacking.....but tired of not finding anything either.  Although I need to get some jewery made up for the craft shows that are coming.  I did order some scents and coloring for my candles...so looking forward to that coming in....now to get up north to get my stuff.
