Oh what joy has come to me the last couple of days! I met and visited a lady who is alive from a hit and run car accident! She had severe brain injuries and was in a coma. It was Labor day when we(the group that was to play for an up coming wedding)were there when he recived the call. Her nephew cried precious tears for his Aunt. He explained that she was his favorite auntie but the last couple of years had been very rocky. His aunt was on drugs and there relationship grew very distant. The family had been strained for various reasons. We all prayed for his aunt and for him and his family. God spoke to me and said I was to visit and give her a manicure. Sounds simple. I asked my friend for the adddress of the Hospital and her name. He was reluctant to give the information. He felt it would be a waist of time. I insisted. I prayed and went. There has been a great connection. She has been calling me, she has use of her hands, PRAISE GOD! She has a long recovery though, two broken legs, collarbone, head injuries. From Wed to Fri she has a body cast on her torso. She is grateful to be alive! I prayed with her, she aked the Lord Jesus into her heart and forgiveness. She called me and asked for a tunafish sandwich on white bread(Bless her heart! I made two with Lydia's Special sauce! It can make a grow man cry!lol) I brought her a salt, pepper shakers, a CD walkman with some great praise and worship music, a small bible. We read some Psalms together. I understand the pain and when God allows severe attention lessons to come our way! He just wants a little one in one time.
P.S
I've been praying for a lady I met( she was in the bed right next to me when I had the long hosp stay in 2007!) I haven't heard a word since Thanksgivivng 2007! She's another precious flower God is watering, She called me today. What a delight! We will be able to keep in touch! Thank you Lord for bringing me joy!
Smooches, Lydia
