For Time Square Church(my home church). For the childrens and nursing home ministry where I can serve. For accesaride service when needed. For medicine and healthcare. I had scoliosis as a teen with a brace. My back has been hurting pretty bad since I had a fall. I had surgery on my right knee years ago and my knee would swell up on and off for years. Now I walk a little funny. I thought my curve was just worse. The doctor took xrays and now I have arthritis in my back and knee.The doctor gave me a shot in the right knee and I'm going tom physical therapy to strengthen both knees and back. I start water aerobics next week.
Treatments
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Too Soon to Tell
- I've been taking it for a few mmonths
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- I take it when I can't tolerate the pain.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- In the past. I feel like a million dollars in the pool!
Close Degenerative Disc Disease
I HAVE MULTI LEVEL HERNIATED DISCS IN THE LUMBAR AREA AS WELL AS BULGES IN THE THORASIC AND HERNIATED DISCS IN THE CEREVICAL AREA. I JUST HAD MY LAST EPIDURAL INJECTION FOR THE YEAR OF 2009(YEAH). THE JURY IS OUT. TODAY HE GAVE ME TWO SHOTS IN THE LUMBAR SHOTTING DOWN BOTH LEGS. I'M HAVING SURGERY IN TWO WEEKS AND I HAVE TO WEAN MYSLEF OFF OF CELEBREX AND ALL PAIN KILLERS STARTING MONDAY HOW WILL I EVER SLEEP. I take celebrex 200mg, pain patches, and tylenol pm. water aerobics is a God send.

Open Empty Nests
I have one 22 year old son. By choice he is cold and distant. He hasn't called or visited since the summer and he lives in the same city. I have been divorced from his father for more than twenty years. My son doesn't speak to his father either. He says his girlfriend, work and friends come first. His father calls all the time to discuss the matter.I am a christian and beleive that he is a prodical boy that one day he will realize what he is doing and want to reach out. I PRAY AND WAITE!

Open Fitness Goals
I use to be fit for 35 years. I ran, jogged played basketball, swam, danced artistically. I was a recreation therapist for twenty years. I was able to eat anything and everything(very bad habits).I gained about 100 lbs in 10 years due MAJOR FALLS AND ACCIDENTS AND STILL EATING LIKE I USE TO. I managed to lose 40 lbs two years ago. It is much harder for me now because of spine, knee and foot injuries.I receive epidural injections and need more surgery.

- I use to love this in the past. I am very limited now.
- Elliptical Trainer Working / Worked
- I use this at the gym for 30 mins and at physical therapy 2-3xs a week.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Water aerobics class 2-3x a week. I use 3 lb weights in the water.
- Weight Training Working / Worked
- I use the machines in a series of 3, 10 reps. I rest the next day. 1-2 xs a week
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- I can't afford this and the gym.
Open Food Addiction
Due to injuries and food allergies, I cannot control my eating compulsion. It starts at night and I can't stop. I ruin all the days fitness goals I acheive. It's winter and because of pain, I'm up at night. I use to control myself better when I lived alone, I would not buy the tempting things. My brother moved back in my apt and its been real hard. I'm addicted to the foods I'm allergic to and I break out in hives.

- I really tried twice but honest, some of the people are mean in my area.
Open Loneliness
What can I say. I am very lonely. I live with my brother and I am coming to terms with the fact that he doesn't like me much. He has bipolar schizophrenia and he can't live alone. I am his caregiver and he resents me because I am much younger than him. I have had a lot of hurts from bad relationships and a verbally abusive alcoholic mother. I suffer from low self esteem, trust issues, fear of rejection and one son that ignores his mother. Need I say more!(lol)
