I’m With You
Good you have an answer about neuropathy from your neurologist--that's who told me the chemo drugs were the cause of mine. My neurologist performed some simple tests which showed that taxotere had destroyed my reflexes, and caused some brain changes that may or may not heal with time. It's been a year and a half since chemo--the brain chemistry has improved (I'm no longer in a complete fog)....so, there is always hope for feeling better. Thanks for asking to be my friend---I am honored. love & purrs (my kitty)

I appreciated your comments with what you experienced with neuropathy. I have it from head to toe. Even my facial nerves are "afire" much of the time. I try to exercise (walk) and it helps. It's good to hear that you found relief in PT. Take Care. Rhoda & Scottie (my kitty)

Close Ovarian Cancer
I am 43 years old, married, mother of two young boys; 5 1/2 and 4. By trade I am a Sr. Product Manager in technolgy. My story is very similar to many I have read here. Fast forward to Nov. after Thanksgiving, still tired and bloated, I was sent for tests when complaining of frequency of urination. I had surgery 12/18. It was a tumor bigger than a 2 liter bottle of soda with 1.5 litters of fluid! A stage 1C Ovarian Cancer which they are treating as stage 2.
Treatments
- Carboplatin Too Soon to Tell
- So far so good. I have had only one treatment and was bothered just by nasea controlled by Zofran and just a little constipation.
- Chemotherapy Too Soon to Tell
- This time it was ok being my first treatment. The Taxol caused the deep leg aches and that was very annoying and I could not sleep for 2 days very well.
