Close Diabetes Type 2
Diagnosed in March 2007. Lost 25 pounds and lowered my A1C
Treatments
- Actos Not Working
- BG went too low. off this now
- Amaryl Working / Worked
- Loved it but I had too many lows. off this now
- Metformin Working / Worked
- Take 2 500mg per day. No side effects for me at all.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Just cleaning the house helps me.
Close Epilepsy & Seizures
Diagnosed 35 years ago. I just had a VNS implanted in June 2008 to help control the 'uncontrollable' seizures. IT HAS helped so much!
Treatments
- Dilantin Working / Worked
- took from 5 yrs old to 18 yrs old' Had RLS and gum damage due to taking it so long.
- Keppra Working / Worked
- This med was such a blessing. First thing I ever took after Tegretol and it totally reduced my seizures almost immediately! I wld be happy taking this and NOT Carbatrol. horrible anger problems once I hit 1500mg had to go down to 1000mg which helped.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- works okay...for auras.
- Phenobarbital Not Working
- Took when I was 5 did not work, switched to Dilantin
- Tegretol Working / Worked
- Took from 18 until now. Switched to Carbatrol 1200 mg a day. seems to be okay.
- Vagus nerve stimulation Working / Worked
- Had for a year now 06/2009 and I have 1 seizure every month - every other month.
Open Sjogren's Syndrome
I recently recieved this as a diagnosis. I'm still learning. I do believe it is secondary.
