I am an insurance agent. I have a pet yorkie named Lasher. I live currently, the last three weeks, with my grandmother and my Aunt. I am going back to school to be a Lab Tech in our local hospital unless the travel bug bites and then I will move on. I am kind of a nomad one place to long and I get bored.

I. too, know the feeling of losing someone to AML. My husband passed away from complications due to AML on Nov 2, 2007. My heart goes out to you as you approach this holiday season.

I am so sory for your loss. It is never easy to loose a loved one to anything like this and to watch them go through it. My wife chose to leave 1 week before I got out and I came to find out that she didnt think I was going to make it and had already moved on and had another man living in my house sleeping in my bed. The bed we made together so I can relate on the hurt level. Feel free to look me up to talk if you ever need it. I have found that talking helps me deal with things alot better because I can get many different asspects about the problem. Jim

Just heard about your husband and wanted to drop by to tell you how very sorry I am. My sister has AML and is fighting for her life. It's a horrible disease. Believe it or not, I KNOW what Brantley is!!....:) Even go through there on my way to visit my sister, who has a cabin outside of Opp...... Hope this finds you doing well....am very sorry for your loss. Hope you enjoy your time on DS. This is really a very helpful, informative site. Have met some wonderful friends here........ I dont know what i would of done all yea rwith out this site.. have met some awesome peope and have met 1 special friend who actually had AML last year and she lives in WAshington state.. we met in person.. we are friends for life.. Close Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
My name if Greta and my husband Drew was diagnoised four weeks ago with AML. He had faught testicular cancer in 83 and then Lymphoma Non-Hodgkins in 05. By the time the Leukemia hit him it was to late the doctor told me that he had two months without treatment and even less with treatment. He passes away the day after Christmas at 6pm that evening. We did not have kids due to his and mine health problems but we do have a three year old yorkie named Lasher. That was our little boy.

- Neupogen Working / Worked
- Neupogen to me gave Drew the few weeks that we had left together to be productive.
