Single, in a relationship, no children, newspaper editor. I spent a great deal of time in school and establishing a career, thinking I had plenty of time to start a family. Now I know that is not true, and I'm left having to decide between living my life now or living in pain and fear every day for a possible life I might want to make in the future. How can anyone make that decision?

I've had several cysts, but none have ruptured. I am so sorry you are going through that! I'm 30 and do not have children either. Sometimes all of this crap makes me feel "broken." Huge hugs!!!

Close Endometriosis
I was diagnosed 13 months ago during an appendectomy, which was actually a ruptured endometrioma. I'd had no symptoms before that. Since then, I've had three laps and six ruptured cysts, my most recent were two and three weeks ago. I took Lupron this summer for 6 mos. Now I just take continuous BC to stop my cycles altogether. I have some decisions I have to make in the near future...
Treatments
- Arimidex Not Working
- Same as Femara? If yes, it was awful. All the symptoms of Lupron but with the addition of debilitating migraines. Only took it for three weeks.
- Aygestin Not Working
- Went off when I went off Femara.
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Not Working
- Took before and after Lupron. I'm back where I started.
- Femara Not Working
- Had to stop after three weeks due to migraines.
- Ortho Evra Not Working
- Endometriomas returned, but fewest side effects of any other continuous birth control. Loved it, just didn't do the job for me.
- Surgery Not Working
- I had five in 18 months for ruptured and hemorraging endometriomas. During the most recent, which was supposed to remove left ovary he instead removed a mass from it and left it and the tubes in. Just had another rupture Friday night but not operable.
