Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a Partner/SpouseI lost the love of my life. We were not married nor did we live together. He was sick for the last year. I thought that would help me prepare for the probable loss but it has not. I have never lost someone I was this close to. I just want him back.
Treatments
- Crying Somewhat Helpful
- crying is generally helpful. I am crying less than I was but I feel the pain inside every day as muh as always.
- Keeping Busy Somewhat Helpful
- I work many hours each week. i listen to other people's problems. Amazingly, their problems are not a burden to me. When I meet with them, my focus is on them only. It's hard for me to find anyone I can talk to about my loss. That's why DS has been to helpful
- Pets Somewhat Helpful
- My pets remind me of Peter all the time. I think they remain connected to him even without his physical presence.
