I was hurt initially. She and I are actually closer now than we ever have been. I believe her reaction was due to fear of wondering if she could someday develop PD. In subsequent visits, I took the initiative to talk to her kids and explain my symptoms, and they still think their aunt is great, even when she is slow. Kids accept life changes better than adults do sometimes. Take care, Nicole

I am 57 years old and I was diagnosed with PD Sept. of 2007 a month and 21 days after I had a mild Heart attach. My mother had PD for 22 years. I hope to do as good as she did. I have also had breast cancer and I am a 14 year survivor of that. I have left side tremor and rigidy in left leg. Some lack of cordination in left hand and slowness in leg. I am bothered most by tremor
