I wanted to take a moment to let you know how appreciative I am that you are so knowledgable about this illness and so willing to share good advice. I can see that you are a nurse who really cares about people. I wish there were a million more like you. I loved the story about your grandaughter and the robin's egg. It made me smile. My 2 1/2 year old told me I was pretty yesterday and wanted to take a picture of me with his toy camera. Its amazing how these little ones can make life worth living even when we are at our most down. Please keep on doing what you are doing as I look forward to your posts every day.

I developed MRSA in 2005 after sitting on something sharp on a patient's sofa during a home care visit. I have had 7 surgeries on my butt, lots of antibiotics, another antibiotic resistant bacteria in my urinary tract from the treatment for MRSA. I still have severe pain in the buttock area , and continue to develop small "bumps" that erupt after a bout of severe, severe pain. I am feeling quite overwhelmed and discouraged.
Treatments
- Bactroban Working / Worked
- Will not decolonize my nares with this because MRSA is becoming resistant to this too.
- Hibiclens Working / Worked
- Using if for showers about once a week.
- Vancomycin Working / Worked
- Had severe Red Man Syndrome; allergy to Vanco.
- Zyvox Working / Worked
- Very tired from drug, but worked for temporary fix.
Close Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
involved in support of hypoglycemia in children
