a little girl..the first
of 6
she wonders now
at this time of her life..
still........
what is her calling ?
she listens intently
waiting to hear
what she hasn't ..yet..
years gone by..
like watching a spliced movie
from an old 8mm projector
years gone by
that old oak tree
that was so tall
she hugged it tightly
and climbed to the top
fearing nothing
not knowing what was ahead.
a little girl
the first of 6
learned very young
that love had it's price
and tears she cried
were partial payment
for the things she believed
to be true
only to learn
that tears
weren't enough
and that
no matter how old
she grew
love would elude her
and her calling would never come
as long
as she
tried too hard
instead of just
letting
go.
