  Hello! I am so happy to find another person on here with Hyperacusis. I have had it for almost 5 years. I am completely isolated from life because of not only my Hyperacusis, but for many other issues I have. It seems that when you develop one problem, other problems just decide to join in. It has been really hard since I was diagnosed at about age 14 and my entire adolescence (which is supposed to be friends, partying, dating, socializing) has been ripped from me.

  Glad you had a good time at the beach, I love the beach too. I am struggling against depression at the moment and just want to sleep all day but this will pass I've no doubt. Sending you a lovely bunch of flowers to brighten your day and hope to hear from you again soon. XX

  Glad to hear you made it to the beach. I know what you mean about the wind. It has been blowing like crazy here too. There were wind driven wildfires around here last week that burned more than 122,000 acres...mainly out in the country. It did burn some homes down but I haven't heard how many. We have been in drought conditions. Anyway I'm ready for the wind to stop for awhile. Hope you got some good pictures today. Deb

  Hi! So great to hear from you. Yeah, I understand about not being on DS for awhile. Seems I disappear from it for awhile my own self, but I have been coming back on more often lately. Congrats on your soon-to-be grandbaby! I'll be you are excited :) I've been doing okay lately. I'm kind of in limbo, waiting to get called back into work again. I've had some pretty bad days, but have been able to pull myself out of my ruts better than what I used to. I'm sorry things get so tough on you sometimes. I do understand the feeling of not wanting to be social. I'm always here for you on DS whenever you need a friend. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! -Dahnya
