I am a single mother of 3 children. I work in law enforcement and have crazy hours. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2004. I had a left breast mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. This process took a year.I had 3 months of chemotherapy. I worked the entire time and tookcare of my kids. I have been cancer free for 2 years now.

Treatments
- Adriamycin Working / Worked
- I did not like this because it made me sick and I did not like my hair falling out. But, it did save my life.
- Cisplatin Working / Worked
- Same as above
- Mastectomy Working / Worked
- I had a left breast mastectomy and immediate reconstuction. It took 1 year for the process and I am very happy with the results.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I had 3 surgeries. 1st was a mastectomy and reconstruction, then areplacement of the implant because of constriction and scar tissue. I then had a different type of implant put in because the shape of the breast was not natural. I also had tattooing of my nipple done at the end.
- Nolvadex Too Soon to Tell
- At first I did'nt want to take this drug. Too many risky side effects. I thought about it . I researched it on the internet and realized I needed to take it.
