Sooooproud of you. I gave it up to, it is very hard. But once you put your mind to it your half way there. It has been a couple of years for me and I can't stand the smell of smoke . I can always tell a person that smokes now. It is like smelling perfume when you stand next to someone. Boy am I glad I don't smoke any more. You go girl.
Hi hon happy to hear your feeling great hugs claire.
I was diagnosed with Graves in July 2007. I have since got my thyroid under control with Tapazol yet my eyes have not been cooperating. I had radiation on my eyes in early Dec o7 and I am eagerly awaiting results. I just want to hide from the world until I can find normalcy so since I know this is not healthy, I am seeking out others for support.
I have smoked for close to 20 yrs(minus the 3yrs I quit before)its been a demon that haunts me everyday. I am a closet smoker, I am ashamed of my habit. I tried to quit with chantix and almost succeeded until I was diagnosed with Graves disease and quiting smoking was the last thing I wanted to do at that point. Smoking makes my disease worse so I plan to try again cold turkey. I am looking for support and encouragment to get started again soon...maybe...the tought terrifys me! Yikes!
I have Graves disease and as a treatment plan I was put on steroids for a year. During that time I gained 30lbs which I am struggling to get rid of.
