Oh, and I deleted my account at www.exercisefriends.com I tried reaching out to a few more people who didn't come through. Now I'm trying www.meetup.com It's pretty freakin' cool! You join "meetup" groups based on your location and interests. They schedule events, and everyone goes and "meets up!" It's awesome. I'm in the crochet one, the Pagan one and the ex-Patriate Canadian group. There's nothing else close to my house. I wish I lived in the city.
Sorry i haven't been online in a while. My husband keeps getting deployed, and it's rather disruptive getting him ready to leave, and then having him come back. At least these are short trips, in June he will be going to the desert for 2 solid months. I am going to miss him so much. Right now I'm in Canada visiting my parents. It's so nice to be home.
On the Metformin front, it seems to be doing something. I am still on 1500 mg a day - I tried going to 2000, but my body didn't like that. So 1500 it is. I've lost almost 10 pounds so far, without doing anything. I'm not even going to the gym. (That will change when I get back from vacation, though. I need to exercise.) I feel good, though, and am now down to 176.2 pounds! I had to practically KILL myself to get down to 175 for my wedding a couple years ago. This is SO different. I even had a donut yesterday! I'm not even doing anything special! Awesome.
I'm seeing an Endochronologist, who ran some tests and told me that my prolactin was high. This is apparently common for women with PCOS. Prolactin is the hormone that your body produces when you're breastfeeding. It is what is making my breasts so sore before my period, and is also suppressing ovulation. There is a med I can go on to lower it, but the doc wants to run some more tests first. He says I might even have Cushing's Syndrome, NOT PCOS, even though I don't have any of the symptoms other than acne, depression and weight gain. i don't think I have that, but I'll do the test anyway, it can't hurt. At this point I'll do anything to get pregnant!!! I know it is going to happen for me soon. I have a feeling.
Hope you are all doing well.
