I'm feeling good about the steps DH and I have taken this year in our struggle to start a family.  I am sharing this because I am hoping to inspire some of you in your struggles.  About a year ago after four failed IVF cycles DH and I decided that we were going to give up on IVF.  We contacted the doctor and settled any outstanding debt (doctor owed us 8000 enough for one more cycle).  I was sad all through the holidays and depressed by every new baby that came into our lives.  We talked about adoption and surrogates, but nothing seemed to be the answer.  Finally in about March of this year we changed RE's.  After our consult DH and I decided to give this everything we had.  We quit smoking, ate healthier and went in with a positive attitude.  All of this prep and things finally paid off.  We received our first BFP ever.  Even though the pregnancy was ectopic and had to be terminated we decided that we would not give up until we had our baby.  FINALLY WE HAVE A PLAN : )  Even though what happened to us this year was sad, it also made us realize how badly we want this.  We have spent about $75000 so far and we will continue to save and spend until we get what we need which is our family.  We will go through IVF again in January and continue down this road until we have our baby.  I know that this is tough, but if you really want this don't give up hope.  We only live our lives once and money does not buy happiness.
