Moment of Peace
richardkem (11/25/09)
Hi Teri. Good hearing that you are doing OK. I was hoping that is why we had not heard from you in awhile. I was off the post for some time too. Lots of other stuff going on. A relief not being totaly absorbed by clotting issues. Thanks for chiming in tonight for the person who is having another clot. I was thinking of you when I said let others chime in. Glad you were there for the person. Take care and again good to hear from you. P.S. Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm With You
richardkem (09/06/09)
Teri, I am glad you are staying on the blood thinner. I have been arguing with my PCP over the same issue. He feels the risk of a major bleed is higher than my getting a blood clot again. I told him I disagree because he can't tell me why I got it and that reason is no longer a concern. Interesting that the cardiologist tells me he believes I had a PE last year and that it was not treated (after reviewing my files from ER and my PCP). He too says I should remain on the thinners as my most recent PE appears to have been unprovoked. Glad you have the strength to keep pushing forward and doing what makes the best sense for you. You and Joyce have given me lots of strength and I appreciate every thing you write. Take care and thanks for staying strong.

Amen Sister! It'll get worked out Teri. Whatever happens with your warfarin, whether to be on it life long or not,it's going to get worked out.

Thanks for your post. I too have tachycardia, but it is improving. I am 5 weeks after diagnosis of bilateral PE with multiple embolii in both lungs. My cardiologist has refered me to a special pulmonary hypertension cardiologist. He told me that most cardiologists like himself are trained in issues concerning the left side of the heart and that I needed a cardiologist that deals with the pulmonary side. He thinks my right ventricle is have some issues from the extra exertion caused by the PE. Hope yours has resolved and that you are feeling much better. Take care and thanks again for the post.

I'd almost forgotten about that misty fog this morning. Came in from the morning slow-trot with wet hair. Maybe if it is comfortable let me know if your Warfarin lab supports that self-INR thing, and if they are anywhere in the middle part of the state. Thx :)
