    • About Me

Note: Often, I am an Ebay junkie, otherwise, I am a happily married (and retired) man. We currently have two lovely dogs "who" we treat like daughters! I'll admit to being a bit odd at times, but I'm otherwise a rather benign and "non-crazy" individual. Certainly, I mean well! I frequently have severe back pain and I'm 100% bi-polar. Over these past few years I have, unfortunately, essentially become a very isolated and socially withdrawn person. Still, I keep making a point to see the positive in life in general and my life, in particular. (I've requested that Jimi's "Star Spangled Banner" be played at my eventual funeral)!) :)

Living life the best I can, one day at a time... I'm pretty much a collector of various things I consider worth collecting, coins, etc. In addition to our two small dogs, we have two turtles and a salamander. I've had the salamander for over 13 years now, and he's sort of reminding me of the little white mouse off "The Green Mile" re. his longivity!

    • Close Back Pain

There are good days and there are bad days. This is a bad day!

      Treatments

      Bedrest Working / Worked
Yeah, that's why I'm essentiall "flat on my back" for the major portion of both day and night.
      Fentanyl Working / Worked
Yeah, it works, but after over three years of using it I've certainly added it to my laundry list of problems in life.
      Heat Working / Worked
The heating pad helps a lot.
      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
A little goes a long, long way, to hurting my back more, I mean.
      Relaxation Working / Worked
Certainly, I have to go to great lenghts to avoid stress of any sort.
      Stretching Working / Worked
I can only tolerate minimal amounts of it, though.
      TENS Considering
My doctor said I'm not a viable candidate for it, though.
    • Close Bipolar Disorder

It's been a life-time struggle and, finally, these pasts few years I've ended up on disability as a chronic result.

      Treatments

      Group Therapy Working / Worked
Used in the far away past. Helps in conjunction with other efforts.
      Lamictal Working / Worked
It seemed, perhaps, to have made a beneficial difference at the time. I no longer take it, though. I needed to cutback somewhere.
      Lithium Working / Worked
I kept worrying about my kidneys too much, so opted to stop it.
      Pets Working / Worked
My two small dogs in conjunction with my supportive wife are keeping me alive. I am grateful.
      Trileptal Working / Worked
It WAS NOT a "fit" for me. I won't try it again, either.
      Wellbutrin Working / Worked
      With Prozac yes.
    • Open Hearing Loss & Deafness

It seems as though, across the board, I've likely lost 75% of my hearing thus far.

      Treatments

      Hearing Aids Working / Worked
      They help, but...
      Lip Reading Working / Worked
      A little bit, but...
    • Open Loneliness

I feel like a social retard!

    • Open Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

In addition to all of my other problems in life, I am always very tired.
