I am a 39 year old mom who adopted her 2 boys from Russia. I used to be a very avid gardener, playing & coached sports for my son, hiking, bike riding & much more that I could no longer do since 2002. I hurt my back at work in 2002 & then in 2004 was in a car accident with a 17 yr old girl who had her license for 3 weeks. The accident compressed & blew out my L5-S1 & herniated 5 disks above that. I have had 4 back surgeries from L3-4, L4-5 & L5-S1 in the past 3 years. My life has changed so much in the last 6 yrs it is unreal! I can't work, play with my kids, barely garden & many more things anymore.

Yeah, but I have been freezing my ass off! It is rare that the arctic front comes this far south! This is the worst winter we have had in about 20 years! Today is a bit better!

Hello All, I am a 38 year old female who hurt her back in work in 9/2002. In 4/2004 was in a car accident which totally took my lumar back out. I landed up having my L5 - S1 collaps & my 5 buldging disks above that all herniated after the car accident. In 9/2005 I had an L5 -S1 lumbar fusion w/cages, in 3/2006 I had rods & screws inserted & in 3/2007 I had the hardware removed. I'm looking forward to hearing & learning from others on this board.
