***UGH*** Mood
Sunday, November 8, 2009 | A Rambling story

Sunday – November 8, 2009 – 8:10am

***UGH***

I spent 2 hours yesterday, cleaning out my make up trays (two full-size knife/fork/spoon trays), thinking I might have dropped my little sterling silver stud earrings in there by accident.  Before that, I spent 2 hours cleaning out/rearranging my jewelry drawers in search of same earrings.

WHERE THE ***BLEEP*** ARE MY EARRINGS???!!!

   Yell    Yell    Yell    Yell    Yell

I need them for the second piercing in my ears, to go with my regular earrings.  The little 3mm ones.  They’re missing.  It took me forever to find them when I bought them years ago, and now they’re missing.

I have been – busy.  And, putting on make-up even, almost every day.  Tired of looking tired, and I can’t justify keeping the make-up if I’m never going to wear it.

I’ve been having fun putting it on for the most part.  Likel playing in the Crayola box.

But – washing it off in the evening…..  sigh…..

And I can’t believe I used to do it EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.

But I’m wearing it now, even if all I do is housework.

I’ve been feeling ‘different’ lately, and I’m pushing to see if it’s the real thing, or just another setup for a crash.

Feel different physically I should say.  The menopause mood though, is still with me.  I just feel – mean.  Unless I find something that distracts me and gets me out of the zone.

Whatever.  If I don’t push though, I won’t know if I’m getting better or if it’s just the usual autumn spurt of energy I used to get before an early winter crash.

I ache everywhere today, from being bent over at a weird angle dealing with the drawers and trays.  And I still have one drawer to go.  Need to run to a Jo-Ann Fabric and get more of the containers I use for my beads, they work well in the top drawers of my dresser that were intended for jewelry.  Right now, I have earrings sorted in old styrene egg containers……..  Earrings I’ve had from back in my 9-5 cube farm days during the 80’s and early 90’s, some from the 70’s even.  Who knows, as I sort, I may ditch.  Most of them aren’t anything I could take apart and use with my jewelry making.  And I think they’re probably hopelessly out of style, as if that ever stopped me from wearing something I really like.

More ***ugh*** I’m blithering.  Sorry.

I hope everyone is having a decent weekend.  I know there are forces conspiring against some of you, I’m shaking the rolling pin at The Muffin for you.

Hugs and Mojo

Weebs

Oh dear Weebs. I am always losing things and 'finding' things which I can't remember having! Hope you find the ear rings.

Glad you are feeling a bit better (said very quietly-just in case).

Good news about the make up. I haven't any on today although I do usually make the effort, even if it is just a small amount.

Hope you have a decent weekend too Weebs.

    Much love Jen xxx

Ok, being a mother, I must ask the usual first question to my very dear friend here. Ready? Ok! When was the last time you had the earrings on? That's the key question! I'm sure if you could figure that out, you'd remember the occasion, and maybe what you were wearing...and that might lead to a recollection of having taken them off and putting them in a pocket of a blouse or something! Remember when you went from the floor to the ER? Have you worn them since then??? Just trying to jumpstart your memory here!

Good on you for putting on your make-up! Doesn't it make you feel good???? I do it! Not terribly often, but I do it after every shower, and before every appointment I have...or any excursion out of the house. It just makes me feel better! I bet you look simply lovely! I think that I do it for Bobby too. He's home all day with me, he can't escape to work to avoid looking at my pale ole face! lol....so for him, I try to look a little more like I belong among the living!

I have been meaning to mention to you that you have written that you are now officially post menopause! Is that awesome or what???? I'm wondering if some of the mixed up feelings you're having now, with the energy surges and well, whatever.....have to do with your body settling in to a post menopausal state? Could that be in the mix somewhere???? I am so happy, so so happy, if you are truely done with peri-menopause. What a hurdle!!!

Sorry you are achy, but with all the cleaning and re-arranging you've been doing, I'm not surprised!

I hope you find your earrings today. You know how we are, in a fog you could have put them anywhere! I still don't know how my newspaper ended up in my freezer! lol....you'll come across them...as long as Spot hasn't found them first and made them into a fav batting toy!!!

    Have a gentle day Weeble!!

    Wuv the Weebs!

Hope you find your earrings, Weebs. Miss you lots. Glad you are feeling a little better. I'll get in touch. Not quite sure when. I don't know when I'm getting out of the place. Take care and enjoy the weekend.
    Luv ya, Lucy

I hate when I lose things like that. It just emphasizes to me how far my brain has failed me, and how much stuff I really ought to get rid of, in spite of the pack rat inside telling me I might have a use for it someday. I hope you find your earrings, and the mood improves!

I've been oddly cranky lately, myself, even before recent events, but I've been trying to contain it so I don't spread it. Shell called it "Fibro Rage," and she might be right, since it's the wrong time of the month for hormones. I think it's the time of year. Although the colors are wonderful, we know the winter is coming, and we don't like it. I'm actually a little cranky this morning because it's going to be around 70°F and sunny today! This is not proper November weather! Can't we just get winter done and over with already! Stop teasing me with sunshine and warm afternoons just to rip it out from under me with snow and ice! Sheesh!

    See? You're not alone! *HUGS*

Oh crap! Losing stuff!! I'm forever losing stuff INSIDE of other stuff. Like leaving a turtle neck shirt inside another sweater and that's why I can't find it in the drawer! Takes weeks to find! OR the time I couldn't find my red underpanties! Where could they be? The last time I wore them was at Christmas at my Dad's house...maybe they fell out of my suitcase! Oh horror! What if my Dad found my red underwear! So I called my sister and had her secretly run over to Dad's house and look for them in the bedroom that we sleep in. Of course, when she got there, she announced "don't worry Dad I'm just here to look for Roses red underwear"!! So much for "secretly looking"! LOL I found them a month later...the static electricity had stuck them inside of another shirt, when I did laundry! LOL Oh well, at least it was MY shirt and not one of my husband's dress shirt that he wears to work! He finds dryer sheets in his clothes while he's at the office all the time! LOL LOL LOL I hope you found your earrings Weebs! Much love and many hugs!

OOoo, I hope you find those darn earrings Weebsy! That's just so frustrating! Grrrrr!

Yay for the different feeling lately, as long as it gives you energy and you can enjoy it! Sounds like you're getting so much done, that's a GREAT feeling! I hope this differnt feeling lasts a very long time!

Thanks for shaking that rolling pin and the cosmic muffin for us, he'd better listen to you, you're feeling mean menopausy!! :-) Hugssssssss

Did you find them? I believe everything happens for a reason and IF you didn't find them, that means you MUST buy new ones! There. Problem solved. I have some that are so small I can't see to close them. Want me to ship them over to you? Funny, I tend to wear the same earrings for a few weeks THEN decide to change them which makes me feel like a whole new person. Small things amuse small minds, huh? Hope eggar stays away. Hugs.

I, too, hope you find your earrings! Get this one, I like to wear medium size gold hoops. I bought my first pair(back in my working days) and wore them for about 2 years. Then I lost one of them. Being the forever optimist that I am ( yeah right, I know) I kept the other one with hoping and praying that I would find the first one. Sooo, I went out and bought another pair! Managed to lose one of those about 2 years later. By now, I am tempted to just wear the two mismatched earrings and (a) see if anyone notices cuz they are very similar and (b) I had other things I wanted to spend my money on (still in the working days and dress shoes...) I mean really , can a girl have too many pairs of shoes??? So I just don't buy another pair and the other day I am digging in my armoir and there a pair of gold earrings that match! Yippee!!! I have no idea how the missing one got there but I have no complaints!
Hope you find yours are find some more that will work for you!

DId you find them? I hope you feel better soon although putting on makeup is a good thing. I put it on almost everyday and it makes me feel better. Fake it til you make it even if it is hard. Looking good at least makes me feel ALIVE.

I even wore high heels today. Who saw me? Women, but so what...I felt more normal if that's possible.

I can tell you are a little down. I can feel it. This too shall pass Weebs.

    Hugs to you!
