***OY***

I forgot yesterday, to ask for Extra Soft Mojo for Rusters, who had another cat pass on to the night sky.  Her second furry loss in two months.  And I think she has one more cat, who will probably be doing the ‘where are you?’ prowl now.

*sniff*

Now to the *oy*.

Well, I got it mostly done yesterday.  The raking.

I did pruning first.

Took about an hour lunch break.

Total labor hours: 4.  Two before lunch, two after.

It felt like 10 hours.

We have 5-7 trees on our hill (I counted but I forget now), and they all let go of their leaves.  So I had my Timberlands on, gave my Achilles a workout, getting said leaves from the top of the hill to the bottom.

My ‘dream’ was to get the leaves hauled over to the woods.

Oh well……. At least we can see now that some of the things my husband planted on the hill, have so far survived the ‘juglone toxin’ the black walnut tree gives off, and the shade it provides.  We need to plant things, or the hill will (and already has) started to wash away.  We planted spreading junipers before we had the trees, but they are slowly dying.  Our patio is dug into the hill, so we don’t want it sliding out from under us.

The leaves are all gathered at least in a long row at the bottom of the hill.  They’re getting rained on.  Again, oh well, using SWT (So What Therapy).  Wet leaves attract yellow jackets around here.  So tomorrow, if I’m not in a severe case of ‘2nd Day Syndrome’, I’ll have to be careful.

My husband is having trouble with his right foot (the one attached to the 1990 hunting accident leg) so I have to be the designated laborer for awhile.  It’s the ball of his foot, suddenly giving him trouble.  He did have some pins attached somehow or other to that end of his foot, to help prevent foot ptosis (drop) while his calf healed.  Don’t know if he’s got spurs or something.  He’s icing, not helping much.  We’ll add moist heat today after he gets home from work.

I did sleep well last night, missed DWTS though.  Recorded it.  Didn’t even see an online news headline so we still don’t know who had to leave.  Anyway, I planned to mostly rest today anyway, might do a little dusting so I don’t totally muscle seize after yesterday.

Ok, my journals have been too long.  Gonna go!

Hugs and Mojo

Weebs

If your journals are too long, then mine must be painful! This is your journal, there is no "too" anything. You say what you gotta say here, and that's that.

You have been so very active lately!! I didn't know the bit about wet leaves and yellow jackets. I will have to keep that in mind! We still have more leaves coming down, and usually they get mulched with the final mow of the lawn. Tony takes care of it. I didn't think we'd have another mow this year, but I'm thinking even if the grass doesn't need it, the leaves do! And he just zips around on his riding mower, so it's easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Hopefully 2nd Day Syndrome won't be too bad today. Sending mojo to Rusters. I can't even imagine. *HUGS*

I went to Rusters the day I saw your "cat in the sky"!! I'm so sorry....she had just lost Spinner!

We have a ton, I mean a TON of leaves in the yard, but we've also had a week of rain! Today included. The whole neighborhood is a mess. We can't do a thing about the leaves.

Good on you for accomplishing what you did. What a lot of work that is. Aerobic, actually! I hope you didn't overdo....but you prolly did! Today you must be rather achy all over!! Good grief woman!! I understand that you feel the need to help hubby, as his foot hurts. We don't want any complications there! Just watch out for your foot as well, ok? ok!

I won't mention which two couples got booted out last night....maybe by now you already know!

Please be a Weeble slug today!!

    Wuv the Weebs!

If you shovel snow, then you're welcome to do my yard work as well. We have about six inches of the white stuff, and they are calling for another inch every hour this afternoon.

Oh I can't IMADIIIIIIIIINE HOW you rake leaves!! We too have had so much rain and it's just slushy mess.
After the rains, we have a mower, w/a MULCHING balde and NO raking here!!
OR, we used to rake (throw!) them on a tarp and haull it off to burn.
But we can't do w/out the mulcher!

I hope your feeling rested more and DO NOT over do it.
Thank you sooooooooo much for your special rolling, weeble hugs anf all that mojo! Seems, all is going good now. Mom & baby home today.
