Q: What if a person doesn't want a new life and likes their old one?
A: That's what grief recovery is all about. Every bereaved person I have would give anything to have their lost loved one back. Accepting the reality that this is not going to happen and looking for something new is to find life after loss.
When someone says, "I will never be the same" I never argue because they are correct. But that doesn't mean they can't know happiness again.
People who try to hang on to what has been wind up with a distorted grief reaction and often have physical and emotional problems.

Stay Strong, I to am dealing with 2 grieves. One my mother who passed away in May, and second my husband who choose to walk away in April. I lost my my two best friends at once. I continue to struggle with what grief I am struggling with today.
