If there was one time i wish more of my friends read my journal it's this one. I've got a situation that I'd really love to get a variety of feedback on.
I'll warn though this may make me sound so darn stupid I tell ya. I'm kicking myself for this.
I went to do my Wed a.m. at the cat shelter. I parked the car & me & the woman I work with were walking to the front door, chatting away abt stuff. We each had something to mail & when we got to the mail box dropped our items in.
I must of been in la la land cause I didn't realize till sometime this afternoon that I forgot to put a stamp on it, DARN IT ALL!!!!!!!. I've got my return address sticker on it & Canada Post told me that the norm will be to send it back to me seem as my address is on it & not to go ahead & forward it on & make the other person pay the postage.
Here's the clincher, it's a birthday card for my friend of abt 30 yrs, Marie. She gradually became a bit distant fr me after I no longer worked, two different worlds now I guess, but the friendship is still there.
If this is the one chance they'll forward it on, how am I going to face her. I feel so darn stupid. Do I tell a white lie to save face & say something like "well I'll be, I know there was a stamp on there, shows how well that held" (in yrs past Canada did have trouble with stamps staying on). Or do I fess up & hide my embarrassment any way I can.
Man am I too sensitive or what!!!!!

I would just sit back and see what Canada Post does. I've had it happen to me where I got a card from a friend that didn't have a stamp on it. I just laughed about it and made a joke about it. And paid the stamp price. No big deal. We all forget something in our lives. I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Don't worry about it. We are not all perfect.
Love ya, Hugs Nancy

Hi Kitty...long time uh? I have been very busy with work and all.
Listen; just call your friend and tell her what happened...she is your friend and will understand. I'm sure she'll apreciate to hear your voice. If the card get lost or its forward to her I don't think she'll mind after knowing you are there for her.
Hugs, Maggie
