When it hurts to look back, and your scared to look ahead, you can look beside you,and your best friend will be there,
I have just finished 8 days on solumedrol, and have been on the taper pills for about 2 weeks. I know how hard it is to sleep, and not to want to eat in the night. I never, ever did this before, and I am so bloated and puffy - everyone comments on it when I see them, so I have been staying home a lot, as I don't feel well. I am afraid I will need more solumedrol, as I am still very numb and not well at all, maybe this is just permanent damage. Sorry to hear that you have to deal with a wheelchair, I have not gotten to that stage yet, even after 18 years with MS. I do have chronic pain, numbness and extreme weakness though. This last exacerbation was one of the worst ever, and I am hoping to get on Tysabri when I find out if my insurance will cover most of it. Good luck to you, and try and keep positive with your quilting and music. I am a painter, but have not felt well enough to do anything for the past few months. I missed an entire session of my art class, and miss my friends. Feel so isolated!

I've been diagnosed with MS since 1989. My youngest daughter was 2. It has been difficult at times, but I can honestly say I have made it "worse" by taking on stressful activities. I didn't work for 17 years...went to work, and immediately had exacerbations and changes in the disease.
I'm desperate. On too many meds...they are necessary. I don't like food...don't feel strong enough to fix food many times. I think I will try the atkins diet and then weightwatchers...those two did work for me. I've maintained a loss of 16 lbs for 4 years, I need to lose 50 more.
my Dad is having surgeries for glaucoma, and for dry eyes...it appears that he is slowly losing his sight, and I just want support to be able to support him.
I have difficulty sleeping through the night...some restless legs...a too active mind...and I have MS.
