Planning my future
We have decided that in approx. 3 years, we are going to move to Wisconsin to be closer to my family. We are saving money towards that goal.
Have two beautiful boys, ages12 (going on 21) and 17(going on 13), if you've been there! We also have a wonderful dog, definitely a mutt, but part Boston Terrier and part Boxer. Her name is Roxy and she's Mommy's( that's me, of course) baby.

Wehave been working on our marriage, both going to individual counselors and also a couples counselor. Things are going great!
I pray that the holy spirit will guide you and protect you and your family.
good for you that is great. I am sick i have a fever of 103.8 and my stomach is messed up and I'm haveing back pain and leg pain. I have slept most of the day.
I am in the same boat. I wish I could do the 5 day pouch test but I can't stick to it. Grazing is what kills me. I just can't handle haveing junk food in the house. I have 2 boys and my husband. So I have junk in the house and I can't resist it. My husband is the worse part. We were seperted for a while and I did great, but he is a junk food junkie. Every night he just sits in front of the TV and eats candy bars and cupcakes and chips and dip and chocolate milk and Ice cream. This just sabatoges me.
Thanks for the links. I am 2 years post op. And I'm really struggleing right now. I have had the worst year of my life. Thats a long story anyway due to everything in the last year I have been able to exercise and now I am eating things I know I can't. Ihave two very bad influences my Husband and my best friend. They are both junk food junkies. My husband can eat french fries and chocolate 24/7 and probably lose weight. I smell it and gain. I feel out of controll so I appreciate your post.
I have been married for almost 5 years to an alcoholic/addict. We've been together for 6. When we met I was very naive to addiction and NEVER knew anyone who was or where it affected me personally. It is insidious because 96% of the time he doesn't drink. But when he goes on his binges, it destroys my family......me and my two sons, ages 12 and 17.
I had a RNY gastric bypass in 2003 and lost 130 pounds. I would like to talk to other people who are involved in the process or have already had the surgery to see how they ar doing and to offer my experience as well. Currently recommited to getting healthy again by watching my protein, water and exercising every day! Have regained some weight but currently at 189, originally 282 pre-op.
Diagnosed 2 years ago with 3 herniated disks at L3-4, L4-5, L5-S1 and have chronic pain.
I got remarried almost 4 years ago to a wonderful man with two grown daughters. My husband is a great stepdad to my boys, who are almost 12 and 16. Conversely, I try so hard to have a good relationship with my stepdaughters, who are 28 and 21, but run into challenges almost every time we see them, especially with my younger stepdaughter. There is a sense of financial entitlement with her and she takes me for granted, which hurts.
I have degenerative disc disease. Exploring treatment/surgery options at this time.
