I have eaten your bread and salt
I have drunk your water and wine
The deaths ye died I have watched beside
And the lives that ya led were mine
Was there aught that I did not share
In vigil or toil ease...
One joy or woe that I did not know
Dear hearts across the seas?
I have written tale of our life
For a sheltered people's mirth
In jesting guise... but ye are wise
And ye know what the jest is worth.

great poetry, everything was well said and meaningful. How did you know to pick this particular one, great choice. I see that you are very aware guy.

It's interesting. I like it. I'm a big poetry lover. Read it, sing it, write it. So that's where my bread and wine went LOL! Let me know when you get hungry again and I'll fix you something better to eat.
