Close Bipolar Disorder
Raised in violent family; alcohol, porn, violence; incest from dad & 1 of his bro. '82-''86 treated for depression by Christian psychologist. '86-96 attended Adult Children of Alcoholics meetings. Christian cult group said that they were the only ones who could love me; so I quit ACoA. '05 left Ch. cult; going to ACoa meetings & counseling. Diagnosed bipolar, Post Traumatic Stress.

- Holistic Health Somewhat Helpful
- St.John's Wart, KavaKava helped to a point.
- Lamictal Not Working
- Nite/day difference! Subtle changes in my thinking. My mind is not racing as fast. I'm able to enjoy reading. It's easier to listen to people talking. I'm on 25 mg. Psychiatrist is quite helpful; compassionate, warm, caring woman. Side effect--hives. Prone to hives; so, no more taking Lamictal.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- Disaster! Side effects galore!! Terrible experience. Psychiatrist was no help at all. Not going to him anymore.

Raised in violent home. '82-'86 counseling helped. '86-'96 attended Adult Children of Alcoholics meetings. '90-'05 Christian cult. '05 ACoA & counseling; Post Traumatic Stress, bipolar.

- '82-'86 Christian counselor helped. '86-'96 helped. Depression meds helped to a point.
- Forgiveness Working / Worked
- One day a time. Attending Al-Anon & open AA meetings to better view my parents through softer eyes.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- '82-'86 Christian counselor helped. '05 counselor helping to deal w/ Post Traumatic Stress from being in the Christian cult.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Adult Children of Alcoholic meetings help w/ those issues. The emotional abuse from the Christian cult, though, having a difficult time finding someone to talk w/ who understands w/out dumping guilt trips.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Counseling along w/ attending support groups help to challenge my stinkin' thinkin'. Also dealing w/ 24 yrs of spiritual abuse.
Open Fibromyalgia
Suffered for years. Made to feel that I was lying, attention-getter. '93 diagnosed. Changed my life! I felt heard.

- Chiropractor and massuce provide good acupressure.
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- H2O aerobics, whirl pool, steam room help.
- MSM Working / Worked
- MSM helps to reduce inflamation.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Moderate exercise, good night's sleep, healthy diet help w/ inflammation to a point.
