If I can control my cholesterol - I can control my heart disease..  High Cholesterol is a big indicator.

    garlic, red yeast and Niacin seem to do the trick for me.. Keeping my weight down at 140 lbs is also essential and staying active

Some Vitamins that may help.   Vitamin B 150.   And a supplement of 100mg of Niacin. Make sure the Niacin is Niatonic Acid. Studys have shown this to lower LDL and raise HDL.  Drink either Green tea or Pekoe tea for your morning wake-up call - also helps .

Angina and CAD sufferer my whole life. Just diagnosed. Even when I was a boy I had it and didn't know what it was but managed to deal with it..  Today, I found this support group and wanted to vent a bit.   Consistently High LDL and LOW HDL..  Its genetic, but whos to say the birth control pills my Mom took didn't contribute or exasberate/ What about the elementary  school shots I got as a boy - polio and the other ones.. Maybe these things screwed my liver up so that it can't remove the bad LDL.  Sucks being born this way.
