I'm fully paid up for this lifetime in terms of sacrifice, so I'm enjoying some rest -- forced on me by my health, but WTH, it's still rest and it's still well deserved. I have no children -- bad first marriage, second marriage late in life followed by a series of illnesses and deaths in our families so chose not to have children of our own. No immediate family nearby. I have a wonderful husband, good friends, an on-again off-again relationship with God. And there are many days I don't want to be here anymore. And there are many days I think this is the most sublime wonderful experience anyone could ask for. You guessed it, I'm bipolar.

I enjoy visiting with friends and just hanging out with my husband. I enjoy the outdoors and like hiking, kayaking, rafting, rock climbing (haven't gotten to go in a while though). I love gardening. I do volunteer work when I'm well enough with my church (an elder and worship planner, youth leader), and with conservation groups (planning and staffing special events, campaigning). I like writing, reading, painting, and working with craft clay to sculpt things.

I hope this warm bowl of chicken soup does its magic in healing your cold... its that time of year isn't it... and if your immune system is the least bit down its easy to catch a bug... I hope you feel much better real soon.... ((((hugs)))) polar
Just thought I'd toss a dose of this stuff your way today, my friend!
Oh no, that's terrible. LOL, I don't have a tv, so... yeah. :) I am sleeping at odd hours during the day. Drinking loads of tea, blueberry, peach, constant comment, chai, ginger, etc etc. Hot, iced. Walking A LOT. I am crocheting scarves for Christmas presents. I hope you feel better. HUGS.
Hey you darlin'... I'm on the weirdest sleep schedule, 7 pm - 3 am, I guess it's something? What's going on? Love!
Diagnosed with FMS when I was 28 years old. Fatigue is most debilitating part for me. Pain is always there, but except for 3 to 4 flares a year, it is in the background and ignore it -- not that it doesn't add to the feeling of tiredness and make me cranky sometimes! I can't work full-time and I have really struggled with finding meaningful, challenging part-time jobs. That is the worst part of the disease for me since I don't have children.
Have IBS for many years now. Had my gallbladder out in '06, helped for awhile, now all the symptoms are back again. Keeps me up at night.
Diagnosed with bipolar II in August '07 and have had symptoms since teenage years. Rapid cycling. Mixed states. Chronic depression -- some is situational due to life crap; some is biological.
Have had GERD a couple years. Having a very bad bout the last few months due to stress. Nothing seems to touch it. Not even Nexium which always helped in the past.
