Saturday, (August 1st) I went for my first ride in the hills (we have no real mountains here)and I think I might have over done it, I did 32 klm round trip with many breaks and many climbs I had to abbort, either I was sucking wind or my legs were going to cramp...
I made it back to the car, I still have work to do on my climbing muscles, that night after soaking in a HOT BATH, my legs were so stiff, just before you cramp, that feeling...
Two days after, I still had lead legs...
So I will keep on riding flatlands and do leg work out (work on those climbing muscles).
I knew I was not going to be like I was back in 2006, but I had to try and find out where I am.
Otherwise, life is great. No issues with gall bladder(eh, it's gone).
Soon I will be seing theTAT unit, I need to close the file on the Drug study, fulll check ...
That's that...

congrats on a good workout. It just keeps ongetting easier climbing those hills. Wait I lie....it never gets any easier.
keep those pedals turning round and round.... and just dance on them like Alberto

That's great that you have had a go. You can't expect to be at the same level as 2006 but as you say it is a great baseline - your 'marker in the sand'. I'll be looking forward to hearing more on your progress Dero :)

Well I bumped it up to 20 miles Daily, as oppose to every second day. But this is still on flatlands. I have added a stepping machine to my work out (similar to a stairmaster type thing wijjot) We'll see what that does to climbing muscles, plan on trying it AGAIN in a week, the same circuit that beat me two weeks ago.
