I am French Canadian that had nothing wrong(physically ;) )up until I was diagnosed with a severe clot in my right leg(Idiopathic DVT), I won't talk about the fact that I'm a crazy cannuck... I try to take what life shovels my way, but this DVT business is way out of the ordinary, it's a real roallercoaster of a ride when it plays with your emotions like that.

I simply love the great outdoors, it's like an escape valve for me.I use to mountain bike like there was no tomorrow, guess I have found that "no tomorrow". Aside from that, I'm in the "live theatre" industry, concerts, plays, dance... Oh, I'm a sound board operator, stage technician. I just love my work.

hi dero, thank you. ahh they numbed the jugular i think. but the non sedation was hard .. i guess the hardest was my nausea .. but i suppose sedation wouldnt have helped. they could not coil in the end. it is a big muddle up, they are confused.. we are confused. have appointment next week. i believe because it was not done on a tilt table. they can be ignorant.

Arm is ok now, stitches are out (well, all but one that is under the skin) I only missed one day of riding through it all! How are you?
Have been diagnosed with DVT in July 07, had to give-up mountain biking (a lifestyle not a hobby) because of anticoagulation, too many chances of cutting myself while ridding and you know the rest...
I was an avid mountain biker, until I was sidelined by a DVT in my right leg last summer(july 2007).I have spent the whole summer recovering from it and now, is time to get back in shape. I know it will be a slow process, specially the begining, since I have not really done ANYTHING since last july(and it shows)so instead of having two Michelin tires on my ride, I wear it around my waist.LOL Time to get back in action. MTB is out due to the danger of cutting myself on a ride. So ...
Many know me from the DVT group. I have never had a PE,but how to better my knowledge of it...
On Dec 24 I had a GB attack while thinking I was having a Pulmonary Embolism so I checked myself in the ER, stayed overnight because none of the radiologist were part of the minimum crew, so I had my CTscan done at noon, PE was ruled out but GB attack was what was going on... Could not get operated then because of anticoagulants issues ( I was diagnosed with DVT in 2007) so I stayed in the hospital for 6 days on a clear liquid diet for four days and I have been on a low fat diet since then.
