- Acupressure Somewhat Helpful
- As I recall, it was briefly helpful, but the benefits were short-lived.
- Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- The aqua therapy that I tried was warm water exercises therapy. I've gotten away from it, though.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Minimally beneficial.

Stage: I (T1 N0)I believe I was a Stage One. . . two tiny microcalcifications. Very early, very small, very contained. But very virulent under the microscope; aggressive, etc, so I received proplylactic chemo.
Treatments
- Adriamycin Working / Worked
- Heart damage which, thankfully, was pretty much reversible. I got very sick; the anti-nausea drugs didn'w help much. The little relief that I did get came about with eating small frequent meals, taking Compazine suppository, and 1/2 mg. Ativan. I had the other usual complications -- ulcers, shingles, anemia, etc.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- See Adriamycin and Taxol notes.
- Mastectomy Working / Worked
- Reaction to Benzoin when staples were removed because my surgeon forgot I was allergic to it. When I healed from THAT, I did well. I now wear a prosthesis because I didn't want to have yet another surgery.... The prosthesis works fine. Four sentinel nodes were removed, and even though they were clear, thank God, I do have lymphadema now, so I wear a sleeve and do lymphatic massage.
- Taxol Working / Worked
- Taxol was very difficult; blood vessels broke, muscle pain. And something caused my face and neck to swell up hugely. They weren't sure what was causing that; possibly a clot from the port (so the port was pulled).
