I am 38 years of age. Lived in the States for 6 years - went to university there and got a degree in Psychology. Living back home now in N.Ireland. Lost a lot of my interests except for the love I have for my nieces and nephews. Been out of hospital for 2 1/2 years now. Before that i was spending half of my life inside a hospital. Glad to be out!!

Enjoy going to the pictures, theatre and spending time with friends and family. Love my wee dog and cat and all animals in general.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I have been suffering with mental health problems for 20 years now. Starting when i was only 17. I have had so many dx's in those years. Starting with depression, BPD, Schizophrenia to the most recent, Bipolar. I had spent the mojority of 17 years in and out of psychiatric hospitals. Since i have been treated for Bipolar, i have not been in in two years :) I feel great now and honestly feel happy.
Treatments
- Depakote Working / Worked
- (Epilim)Take along side my lithium and seroquel. The combination of the 3 work fantastic.
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Went on it after i had be on seroquel a few weeks as apparently i was too high for the lithium to bring me down.
- Risperdal Somewhat Helpful
- Made my tongue move so had to come off it
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- A life saver. Brought me down from an extreme high and finally let me sleep at nights. Caused me major sedation. 3 Years on 800 mgs and i still have sedation.
Close Hypothyroidism
Treatments
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- It worked for 2 years and then my thyroid decided to go extremely under-active just last week. Currently having it adjusted.
Open Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
