About Me
I am 26 years old and have been living with active crohns disease for 5 years. In those years I have tried just about every type of treatment eventually leading up to a bowel rupture and emergency surgery leaving me with only my small bowel. I am just trying to learn how to cope with this disease and the way that it has impacted my life. I find comfort in the support here and hope that I too can help others through me experience.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I am a 24 yr old single mother, I have been diagnosed for 2 1/2 years now. I am almost always in a flare and have been on predisone for the past 2 yrs. Cant seem to get off of it without a major flare. Next step is Imuran. Hope it works. I have so many questions to ask of people dealing with the same things as me. Any conversation would help.
Treatments
- Asacol Working / Worked
- headaches, didint work
- Lialda Working / Worked
- worked for a while then a flare. Nice to only take one dose a day
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- works but cant get down past 20 mg without a flare
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- havent taken it yet but thats the next plan of action
