Glad to hear you're getting back to some food. Stick with the low residue diet for now and then SLOWLY build back up your fiber intake; 5 grams per day this week, 7 per day next week, 10 each day the week after. If you jump right into high fiber, you'll likely experience pain. Gradual does it. I also found that limiting dairy and beef helped a great deal. Hand in there!

Close Diverticulitis
I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis about 2 years ago. On Thanksgiving I got very ill and went to the ER. Could not get in and was waiting for an MD appointment because along with this, I have Ovarian Cysts and bladder issues. This pain in the abdomen went on for weeks until finally I was running a 102 fever. To the ER I went and was admitted on IV Antibiotics and Diverticulitis as a diagnosis.
Treatments
- Levaquin Working / Worked
- Made me very ill (heartburn and just an overall wiped out feeling.) Also had Flagyl with it as well.
