..wow midnight to 11am. Sounds like a long great night sleep but wait..here's how it went.
slept midnight to 2:30am - woke up
slept 2:35am to 4:00am - woke up
slept 4:05am - 6:30am - woke up
slept 6:35am - 8:30am woke up
slept 8:35am - 9:30am to 10:45am
I usually don't wake up this often during the night. I usually just wake up once or twice. I never get more than 4 hours sleep at one time.
The good news is that my pain was tolerable enough yesterday for the first time in a couple months. I didn't have to take any pain reliever at noon when it wore off!
I'm very blah today. I had so much interrupted sleep. I do not feel sleepy, I just feel sore and achy and sluggish.
6:30pm I'm still blah, but now I am kinda sleepy too. I didn't do ANYTHING today. I am cooking dinner now t hough.. just a hamburger helper. yuck..but we are boke.
I would take pain meds for my headache, but I need to be off of them for 5 days prior to the EGD (upper endoscopy with balloon dilation)... anyhoo... I figured maybe I could start now.
I CAN take Tylenol, but I don't have any ...and it's not strong enough anyway. I think I can take Darvocet, but its still at the pharmacy..no money :(

OMG sounds just like me, you stole my body and I don't want it back. Sorry :(

Ran across your sleep story today and had to tell you how much that parallels my sleep attempts as well! (Not sure what causes yours since you mentioned being in pain, but mine is a side affect of having an anxiety disorder that keeps me from "turning my head off" as I usually put it.) Anyway, thanks for letting me know that there are others struggling with "a whole night's sleep"... Hope yours continues to get better.

I have a sleep pill that helps me alot! I used to only sleep if I was lucky for about 4 hours!

My doctor recommended Trazadone and I've never slept better with no lingering effects the next day.

That sounds incredibly similar to my sleep schedule. Waking up every 4 hours...or less...started, for me, when I was in the hospital for 2 weeks with a staph infection in my knee from surgery. They would take my vitals and give me more pain meds every 4 hours. It's been a little over a year now and I still can't sleep the whole night through without sleep drugs, and even then, it's not guaranteed.
I'm sorry you are in pain, broke, and sleepless. I hope you feel better, and know you aren't alone and we are here for you anytime.
