About Me
With the support and advice from DS (& Clomid), I was able to celebrate a first pregnancy in late 2007. Unfortunately, the baby no longer had a heart beat at 8 1/2 weeks. DH and I felt defeated and a little bit cheated. After months of waiting and trying Clomid again, we are expecting on April 21st, 2009. DH and I are over the moon!

LOOK at that sweet little baby and how big she's growing. Gives me baby fever for sure! I want to pinch her cheeks!! Enjoy every minute- they grow so fast and before you know it, you'll be having a birthday party! :)

Congrats! I'm so happy for you!! I can't wait to see pictures! We are almost 29 weeks now and have an appointment today. I hope you are healing well and your little one is healthy!

Treatments
- Clomid Working / Worked
- 3 months of Clomid and pregnant on the third try. Not too many side effects, except dizziness around ovulation and just plain moodiness.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I passed out when I had an IUD placed a couple of years ago, so I thought this would be similar. It wasn't. However, it showed everything was normal, but didn't have the pregnancy effect I had heard about.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
- This seemed to, at the least, give me reassurance that I was ovulating. However, it can cause a little anxiety about timing and all...
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
I joined the DS Infertility Community in December 2007 after a year and a half of trying to get pregnant. I was in my 3rd month of 100mg Clomid and DH and I did not know what treatment to pursue next. We were conflicted about the next step and dreaded AF coming. To our complete surprise, a HPT came up positive on December 29, 2007. I got confirmation with a blood test 4 days later and then 1 week later, my HCG was rising! Unfortunately, we lost this baby at 8 1/2 weeks.
Open Miscarriage
I found out 1/29/08 that our baby no longer had a heart beat at 8 1/2 weeks. I went in for a D/C 2/1. This was our first pregnancy after trying for 15 months. DH and I are devastated. What a sad experience!
Treatments
- D&C Working / Worked
- I feel lucky to have had no complications during or after this procedure. I didn't bleed at all, but did have strong uterine cramping 2 days after the procedure.
Open Pregnancy
Finally felt like I could join this group after making it past the first trimester. I'm due April 21, 2009 after one miscarriage and two years of trying. I'm thrilled!
