Well it has been quite a summer my house was hit by lighting. I know God must have been watching over us because our house didn't burn down. But the EMF knocked out most of our electronics so we have been without a computer,TV,and a whole list of other items that just keeps getting bigger and bigger as we find more things that are not working.
AND THAT IS NOT THE END
I have a 10yr old dog whom I love very much and she was running after a bird and ruptured a legament in her hind leg the vet wants to operate on her and I can't see putting her though that, it takes at least 6-8 months to recover if she survives the procedure. She will also have to deal with the pain as you can see in my picture she is no pocket dog. If anyone has any advice about how to treat her ingury please let me know because I do not think sugery is an option I want to explore.

I've just quit smoking not that was a really smoked at all maybe 2or3 a day it helps with the pain of diverticulitis and IBS I don't know the particulars of how smoking helps but for some reason it does (and the patch does not have the same effect). My husband was the real smoker in the family and I quit to help him and I really don't like smoking but it's been 2 weeks and the pain is back and the nausea, running a fever and all the other symptons. I really don't know what to do because I feel awful and I don't want to smoke (no cravings at all) I really don't like the smell or the taste of ciggies. But what I don't like even more is being to sick to move and feeling nauseous. I'm at the end of my rope have tied a knot and just trying to hang on.

Poor baby, I'm so sorry your are hurting.
If the cigarettes were helping and you only smoked 2-3 a day, I don't see any harm in it. I am an ex smoker who was really addicted to nicotine for 30 years, I would love to have ONE cigarette a day but I would fall off the wagon and I can't do that because I have breathing problems! I agree they do stink something awful, I love having fresh smelling hair. Maybe you could put on a "smoking" jacket and hat and smoke outside when the hubby is not around!
Anyways, I pray that you will feel better what ever your decision. Big hugs to you, Love Joy
An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?"
"Just water," says the priest.
The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?"
The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord! He's done it again!"

OMG! Pauline, it's so good to hear from you. Honestly, I worried afraid something worse than lightning had happened to you. I know that sounds bad enough and losing all of your electronics, but I'm glad you're still kicking!
Sorry about your dog getting hurt and that I know absolutely nothing about them but I'm sure some of your friends will know. If dogs are like us, maybe she will heal on her own given enough time. I sure hope so. Again, it's so good to hear from you, hope it's not this long before we hear from you again.
Hugs to you and doggie! Joy
