I am so excited! I got the job that I interviewed for. I start on September 8th. I have been hired on as a Part-Time Seasonal Sales Associate. Basically this means that I will have a job through the holiday season. Come January, if I have proven myself to be a good employee and they have space available, then I will be kept on as a permanent part-time. I go in next week to fill out my paperwork and go through a 3 hour training session. Then after Labor Day, it is back to work. I feel like I get the best of both worlds. I still get to stay home during the day with Hayden and don't have to go to work until 4:30 so he can stay home with DH and they can have Daddy and son time.

We are leaving town for the holiday weekend. We are going to my parents house in Saint Louis. We wil leave Friday afternoon and come back on Monday. They don't get to see us very often so this is kind of our last chance until the holidays to see them. It is an 8 hour drive, so it is kind of long but Hayden does really well for about 6 hours of it and then I just move to the backseat and sit with him and amuse him with his toys for the last couple of hours. One other nice thing is that Hayden's cousin will be having a birthday party on Sunday so he will get to see all his cousins and family members. It will be fun.
