Hi Lisa, so far no improvement. But I still can hope. We had a lovely warm sunny day today, and I did spend about 40 min sitting in the sun just soaking it up. Wonderful! I hope you had a great time with your friends that were coming to visit. Love you, Sue

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and a very successful trip to London on Monday. I'll be thinking of you, and hoping you are home Monday night. Love you much, Sue
Hi lisa, lovely to hear from you again too.....i do feel bad for not keeping in touch. sometimes life and illness just takes over.
I hope you are feeling much better after the surgery and the time. It must have seemed so much longer for you being in hospital. At least you knew you were being looked after and in good care. I hope things just keep inproving and you get to live a normal life.
I am going to st thomas's hospital in london on the 17th to see lupus/mctd specialists. I am hoping they might give me some more answers and especially better treatment, as i dont feel well alot of the time. I am having many flares, so i am mostly tired and in pain. Also my liver problems have worsened, and i'm now at stage 2. There is only 4 stages.
At last i have managed to quit smoking....to be honest i felt i had to do it because of breathlessness...also i am worried doctors wont treat me if i smoke.....most of all i want to do it for my health. Its been easier than i thought.
Thanks for thinking of me while you were in hospital. I thought of you often....sometimes i just find it hard to keep up with pwople and things in general. I am so pleased for you though. Your journal made me cry....you have been through so much. You are so pretty as well as such a beautiful person. I hope you are getting lots of support at home and enjoying seeing your garden again.
take care. Big hugs x
I have Emphysema which I have developed from a genetic disorder, called Alpha-1-Antitrypsin, (protese Inhibitor), Deficiency 1 ! I am 41 and have experienced breathing problems in the last 12 years.
Found out I had this condition when I was 30 as started experiencing breathing probs.Took me many years to except it, but have now come to terms with it. (the hardest part in a way)My mobility is very poor now, on lots of meds. Find this site inspirational, some amazing people. Have now developed stomach problems. Been in hosp' 5 times last year due to condition but working on staying out of hosp' this year ;~)
Seemed to have had this for a couple of years had just been diagonised by Drs as IBS. Started with acid pain in upper chest then lower stomach started to swell.Drs have given me drugs to relax muscles in oesophagus and gut. seems to be helping a little bit but always get much worse as day progresses, always bad in the evening. Very painful, and seems to make my breathing much worse. Think the quantity of drugs I take for my condition including steriods make the IBS much worse.
