    • About Me

Hi, I'm John and I'm an alcoholic. My first day sober after about 35 years of serious drinking was November 8, 2007. I can not remember a single day in those 30+ years that I didn't have a drink. I'm a single father. My son is 19 now. I raised him by myself and he has just recently moved out on his own. I try to maintain a very positive attitude on the exterior and I'm damned good at it. Now that I've got a few twenty four hours' of sobriety under my belt, my interior is getting better too. I play guitar and I keep up with current affairs. I am a writer and have a warped sense of humour. hauli007@gmail.com

Hi I'm John and I'm an alcoholic. Thanks to all of my friends here on Daily Strength and AA I have remained sober. This is my first attempt ever to quit drinking. I drank daily for almost 35 years until November 8, 2007

      Treatments

12 Step Program Working / Worked
An excellent program. It is keeping me sober. One needn't have religious beliefs to use AA successfully. I don't!
      AA Meetings Working / Worked
I love the meetings. Great people and great support. This has been the key to my sobriety thus far.
      Cold Turkey Working / Worked
      Everyone has to do this.
      Willpower Working / Worked
      So far it's working.
