About Me
I am a 30 year old stay at home, mother of two girls. Up until April of '07 I was working part time as an Optician, and had done so for 7 years. I love my career, but my girls come first. I am going to enjoy this time while they are little. My husband and I have been together for 6 years now and I love him more everyday, even though he's had a hard time accepting my "ailments". He really is trying to be understanding and supportive, but I know it must be hard when you cannot understand what that person is really going through.

Interests
I love music. My husband (Travis) plays drums and I love it when the band gets together (even if it's only a few times a year now) and listen to them play. I like to write and read, someday when the kids are a bit older I may even be able to do one of them again! I also love photography. Black and whites are my favorite.

Close Hypothyroidism
I was dx with Hashimoto's about 3 1/2 months ago after MANY dr's and tests, blah, blah, blah... Finally someone tested my anti-bodies, even though they aren't raised too high I still have them and am very symptomatic. They are treating my symptoms over my tests at this point. Nice to have a Dr work for/with me and not ignore me.
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Too Soon to Tell
- Just started a couple of weeks ago after taking Levoxyl 75mcg for 3 months. Feeling worse....I'll give it a little more time, but I'm not sure I'm liking this.
- Synthroid Somewhat Helpful
- 75mcg for 3 months, was helping symptoms some. Asked to try Armour to see how a "natural" medication would work, and having the T4
Close Endometriosis
Dx at 19 after emergency laparoscopy and adheasions were removed. Was able to go on to have two children, but I have had a horrible time with painful, heavy cycles since. Now I have been having pain just below my sternum that they have been unable to find any answers for as of yet and are considering that it may be caused from endometriosis. I'm exhausted!

Abdominal pain started in 2004. I'd never had heartburn before, that's what it must be. In 2005 it was bothersome enough that I went to the Dr. They did an ultrasound and determined it must be gallbladder, I did have some small stones, so they removed the gallbladder. The pain never went away. I got pregnant with my second child 2 mo later and had sever vomiting throughout. Vomiting and pain returned with a vengence 6 mo later. I have since been to dr after dr trying to figure this out.
